Friday Goodness

I'm watching the new Upstairs, Downstairs on Masterpiece. I loved the original and this one's not bad either.

I'm working on it.

We're reading this in my lit class. It's very thought-provoking.

Girl Crush: Adele

Brit Singer Adele
Not only do I love Adele's voice ( her latest album 21 is just amazing!), but I also love that she loves who she is and doesn't feel pressure to be like everyone else. It's refreshing to see someone who's comfortable in their own skin. She has a style that is very retro and low-key. She's so stunning!

Who Wears Short Shorts?

The weather has been has been perfect this past week. During the breaks in between classes, I spent that time parked on a bench, enjoying the beautiful scenery. It's just the right time to break out the shorts.

Strawberry Milk

I love strawberry milk, but I never considered making it from scratch until now. I found this lovely recipe at a website called The Kitchn.

Strawberry Milk
serves 2
1 cup strawberries, chopped (I used organic frozen with great results)
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 1/2 cup whole milk
In a small pot, heat strawberries, sugar and water until boiling (it's a bit like making jam). Let boil for about 10 minutes; mixture will reduce and thicken slightly. Using a fine sieve or mesh strainer, strain the mixture into a small bowl. You can save the cooked strawberries to add to yogurt or put on pancakes. Set the strawberry syrup aside.
Chill two small glasses in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Add 3/4 cup milk to each glass. Swirl in 3 tablespoons of the strawberry syrup into each glass of milk (more or less, depending on desired sweetness). You will have a little strawberry syrup left over, perfect for pancakes or adding to soda water.

This cabin is so beautiful!

I am so lazing around this weekend.

Hello lovely people! I hope everyone's having a good week so far. Check out these beautiful bedroom skylights. I would love to lay there and daydream, while looking at the stars above.

Like walking on your bare feet...

Lately I've been seeing these around my college campus...

These are the Vibram fivefingers shoes. A girl in one of my classes told me they're actually quite comfortable and are like walking on your bare feet, and perfect for running. I don't know if they're for me, but the design is eye-catching. For some reason all I can think of when I see them is Lord of the Rings and hobbit feet.
